Air Aroma scent minimal package design channels the clean, floral scent branding of the Australian company into it’s neat bottles and simple branding.
For a range boasting of 38 different aromas in it’s line of essential oils, adding too much information can easily obscure the product in a shelf already crowded with several competitors. Instead the creative agency The Graphic Order pares back on details, only creating a simple, visual association of a symbol on the front label space.
The simple, lower-case type font and use of weighted bold variant to highlight the brand name and ingredient makes it clean, minimal and easy to identify. The white background further enhances the minimalism, also doubling up to create a brand image which alludes to clean sourcing of ingredients, and no impurities or chemical additives in the naturally sourced essential oils.
If anything, the criticism of the design is the choice of blue for the bottles with black caps, which gives it an appearance of a drugstore brand rather than a sophisticated aromatic oils and scent branding company. That however, shouldn’t take anything away from the visual association, shelf identity and overall simplicity of the design, labeling and brand imagery on the package.
From stress balance to ‘pick-me-up’ zesty fragrances, Air Aroma has been working on supplying leading fashion brands and combination of aromatherapy options, scent diffusers for over a decade and a half now. Their latest packaging efforts accentuate the same level of details for their scents.
