Beautiful Craft Beer brand design for Vocation
Designed by U.K. based branding and packaging agency, Robot Food ‘s take on Vocation microbreweries is daring-yet-refined befitting the beer they craft. As the microbreweries gain recognition and popularity, Robert Food creates a perfect brand identity which is creative and expressive.
Founder John Hickling brews his beer with the attitude of a punter. Each hop forward beer breaks the norm and the names like ‘Heart & Soul’ and ‘Divide & Conquer’ is more than a label. It conveys the attitude, the attitude of a man who left a secure banker’s job, sold his house and set out to brew beer for his first venture – Blue Monkey. Eventually, he sold that and set up Vocation. Hickling has ever had only one vocation, which has married his passion and verve.
The beers themselves add the same character with distinctive, punchy flavour. These are bold, brave and uncompromising. The bold flavor name embossed on the label brings the same feel of standout taste. The colors bring a classic visual association with the beer flavor.
Rich colour and a series of bespoke monochrome line illustrations surround the main label, all crafted in-house to bring to life the finer details of individual notes. Angular typography and intricacy fight to create a strong, rebellious attitude which typifies the taste and craft of beers.
Alcohol percentage, quantity, ingredients and composition details are pushed to the back of the bottle.
