Architects Design and Produce Stylish Cat Shelters for Charity

By | September 18, 2014

A stylish series of unique cat shelters were designed and produced by Los Angeles-based architects for the Architects for Animals “Giving Shelter” fundraiser for animal charity FixNation.

More than twelve architecture practices participated in creating a series of brilliantly designed cat shelters, with designs ranging from modern art to resembling abstract art sculptures. Each cat shelter was designed with a guarantee and aim to satisfy cats; from shelters with climbing tunnels to lined structures with materials more commonly used on cat-scratching poles.

FixNation is a non-profit California-based organisation that is dedicated to reduce the population of homeless cats by sterilising as many as possible while demonstrating the effectiveness of Trap-Neuter-Return and colony management for the humane care of homeless cats.
