Flamboyant herbal tea package design for Russian tea brand Herbs Only is quirky, trendy and lot of fun.
As a beverage brand, ‘Herbs Only’ targets the users aiming to inculcate healthy consumption of drinks. Many people start the effort, but soon fall back to the temptations of soda and carbonated drinks.
The process of designing the package and concept started with a mini survey of users. Several people, surprisingly among the young crowd, admitted that with a crowd of beer, cocktails and soda drinkers around it was difficult to ask for lemon water or healthier drinks. In fact, it was almost always the cue for being the butt of jokes.
Hence, the company decided to rope in designer Stas Neretin. A art student himself, he understood the mindset of the young crowd and created a bottle and packaging which is colorful, vigorous and oozes style. It is not ashamed of declaring the healthy lifestyle, and the consumers shouldn’t be as well.
The fonts are quirky, asymmetric and give a feeling of non-conformist attitude. The healthy, green background tells the users about the ingredients while a simple detail of the flavor has a visual association on top of the log ( note the small vanilla, lavender, mocha or fig flowers).
