Kold Frozen Mojito concept design and package design was a project handled by Slice Design agency based in United Kingdom. As a frozen mojito brand, KÖLD have been market leaders for several years.

While rival brands never quite matched the quality and flavor of hand-mixed cocktails, they stole a march with snappy advertising. When Nick from KÖLD  approached Slice Design, the company needed more than good design. They needed a revamp of their brand identity, market presence and packaging.

The Design: The concept design began with the brand name – KÖLDapt for a frozen cocktail brand. The name was cool, suave and sophisticated. It also conveyed the authenticity of frozen cocktails. Spelling “KÖLD” with K is a typically Scandinavian touch. It reflected the connect with local production and quality. This positioning went beyond typical breezer brands which focused on fun and youthfulness.

The Flavor: KÖLD  has authentic cocktail flavors individually sealed in single-serve pouches. The taste is for enjoying at home. Since they can be kept in freezer to retain the flavor, the brand name yet again fits appropriately.

The Package Design: Kold Frozen Mojito concept design and package design relied heavily on positioning the brand right. With a perfect cocktail at home, the product needed to show pure, clear and unique brand identity. The snowflakes in the package stands for all of that, and a vivid, visual imagery for consumers. It also allowed the designers to simply color the flakes and leafy design to convey the flavor.
