Turkmenistan Wines Artistic Brand design is a perfect blend of bright, ornate motifs with modern stylistic elements of European marketing, much like the product itself.
Designer Alex Kodimsky of Moldovian agency 43’oz was given the brief by clients Sandykgacy Cakyr Karhanasy (Turkmenistan) to create a brand identity which upholds the rich, colorful and ornate traditional artistry of the region. For a wine which caters to local customer base, it was important to establish the regional connect.
At the same time, with increasing marketing channels looking at international customers and supermarkets, it was just as vital to target the European style of minimal marketing – which meant laconic, frank brand verbiage.
The result was a brilliant ornamental tracery for the label and the wine red around the cap to complement the rich hues of the logo. Turkmenistan appears prominently in gold, but most of the other wine information (including alcohol content and quantity) are kept small enough to not compete with the visual effect of the branding.
