World’s Best Interior of 2014

By | October 8, 2014

The underground bar and restaurant MOTT32 in Hong Kong was officially named the best interior space of 2014 by INSIDE World Festival of Interiors.

Designed by Joyce Wang, the bar and restaurant is located in the basement of a bank, in a former storage facility for wealthy Chinese immigrants, which explains the concrete and metal interiors.

The result is a creative design concept – a blend of cliché-free industrial New York and classic Chinese decor which reflects imagined layers of Hong Kong’s political and social history with an inspired collection of forgotten heirlooms, Colonial-style furnishings and antique Chinese Propaganda according to INSIDE World Festival of Interior’s site.
